It is easy to be swept up into the fire, the go-go-go that this season can inspire. But as @she_is_of_the_woods on instagram and my cards have pointed out, that kind of energy isn’t something we can maintain in the long-term, especially coming right out of winter. We must set solid foundations, grow slowly and consciously with the light, or else we can end up burnt out and dissatisfied with the whole damn season. And what a waste that would be.
That is not to say that this isn’t absolutely a season of adventure, discovery, and wild growth. No doubt about it, it’s time to get outside and dance in the possibilities and renewal that spring brings. We simply must be prepared and give ourselves the time we need to grow into it. We can't go out planning to scale mountains on soft winter muscles. We can't leap into the middle of projects without laying our foundations. Let us all grow slowly, carefully into and with the season of spring, resisting the temptation to go from 0 to 60 in a matter of days.
It is also important to remember that with this season of renewal, we have come through a season of death. There is work to be done in letting go of our hibernating, in moving on from and integrating the shadows we met during the dark months, and stepping out of our comfy winter cocoons and back out into the world.
Take slow, conscious steps friends.
We have a busy season ahead.
Blessed be.
