“All important ideas must include the trees,
the mountains, and the rivers.
To understand many things you must reach out
of your own condition.
For how many years did I wander slowly
through the forest. What wonder and
glory I would have missed had I ever been
in a hurry!”
- Mary Oliver
Walk slow. Notice the details. Look for patterns. This is how you speak with the divine. This is how you learn from the universe. It is the way of the ancients and the seeds of our traditions. Patterns are humanity’s greatest teachers. Think of our seasons, our science, our divination, our moon…
I invite you all to spend some time really noticing the details today. Take a walk, sit and peer out the window, be present while waiting in line or driving through your daily routines. Keep your heart, mind, body, and soul open to the lessons of your environment. Synchronicity in the smallest forms can bring us the greatest lessons. I encourage you all to be open to being taught by what is around you. Even from the smallest of creatures, the tiniest of leaves, the teeniest rain drop...
Practice presence. Tap into the wisdom of your ancestors. And see what you learn.
Blessed be.
